From the Desk of the Principal-
Greetings,
It is time to celebrate. Santaji Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur has completed glorious 50 years. Jubilees are great occasions to be celebrated recalling the marvelous ways in which the institution has achieved its mission in imparting education. The institution made a humble beginning in 1971 with handful of students in Under Graduate courses. Today, it has grown leaps and bounds with a whooping 3000 students. It runs Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in different streams and occupies a place of pride in this Orange City. Shri Santaji Shikshan Vikas Sanstha, Nagpur which runs the college has the distinction of being adjudged as Ideal Education Society by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University for the Year 2021. It is also a recognized Centre of Higher Learning and Research in English and Commerce by the University and has an accreditation of ‘B++’ grade by NAAC.
Disruptions to education systems over the past year due to pandemic have resulted into substantial losses and inequalities in learning. We are enhancing our preparedness to handle this tough situation. Our team of dedicated subject teachers employ latest ICT tools in teaching which enable more student inclusion and improves students thinking abilities. To provide good learning environment and improve learning outcomes of students, we have good infrastructure with well-established laboratories.
To supplement academic curriculum, we have lot of co-curricular activities and for overall development of the students, we emphasize on impactful extracurricular activities. With great pride, I wish to inform you all that some of our students have featured in merit list of the University, while some have won national and state awards in cultural and sports competitions.
With this, I promise you all that the college ensures students’ progress in an intellectually stimulating environment.
Before concluding, I sincerely acknowledge the contributions of my team of dedicated faculty members who have strived hard to make this institution what it is today and extend a warm welcome to all members of the Santaji family for the academic year 2023-24
