Institution’s Innovation Council

Institute’s Innovation Cell (IIC) Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) Govt. of India has established MHRD Innovation Cell (MIC) to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Primarily IIC’s role is to engage large number of faculty, students and staff in various innovations and entrepreneurship related activities such as Ideation, Problem Solving, Proof of Concept Development, Design thinking, IPR, Project handling and management at Pre-incubation / Incubation stage etc. so that innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem gets established and stabilized in HEIs.
Our college has reconstituted Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) this year. The following faculty members of our college have been entrusted various responsibilities mentioned in the following table. They are supposed to arrange various activities regularly under this banner. These members successfully execute the assigned work related to their responsibilities from time to time with the help of student members and update the records on IIC portal and also keep record of these activities. Programmes Conducted under IIC during the Session 2021-22

Activities

  • 31/08/2023 – Institution’s Innovation Council and Learning Resource Centre of Santaji Mahavidyalaya jointly organized the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Program at Santaji High School, Chikna on 31st Aug 2023. The IIC organized the activity for 10th-standard students. To develop the entrepreneurial skills of the students we had given them the product promotion and marketing task.

  • 25/08/2023 – Inter-Institutional Start Up Competition on Innovative Business Ideas through “Power Point Presentation”

  • 21/08/2023 -“World Entrepreneur’s Day” in collaboration with the Alumni Association. On this occasion, an essay writing competition on the topic “Entrepreneur’s Life and Likes” was held. The invited guest speaker for the program was alumni Mr.Swapnil Bansode, India’s youngest elite panel chess arbiter, and Mr. Nitin Bangde, NDA coach.

  • 11/05/2023 – Online Quiz Competition on ‘National Technology Day

  • Mygov had organized A Short Video Competition on the Implementation of NEP 2020 –Understanding NEP. Two students of the college participated in this activity. They created their profile on my gov website and uploaded the YouTube link on my gov website.

  • 03 /05/2023 – Workshop on Prototype/Process Design and Development on to deliver new ideas regarding various prototypes and Process Design. Subject expert Dr. Abhay Khalatkar enlightened the topic actively by taking various examples of applications of the mentioned topic in our life and how this can become a career-changing opportunity.

  • 27/04/2023 – Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights IP Management for start-ups. Subject expert Dr. Bharat Suryawanshi delivered the seminar actively by taking various examples from different fields.

  • 26/04/2023 – Quiz Competition on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Rights Day” on 26th April 2023 to create awareness of Intellectual Property Rights

  • 21/04/2023 – The inter-Collegiate PowerPoint Competition on the occasion of “ World Creativity and Innovation Day”. The theme was “Step out and innovate”. A total of 17 power point presentations were received based on innovative ideas. The best three presenters were awarded prizes.

  • 28/02/2023 – Workshop on Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunity was organized in the college. The IIC invited the Mr Jaydeo Dhande, Motivational Speaker to guide the students about the business establishment as a career.

  • 27/02/2023 – Visit to the G.H. Raisoni College’s Incubation Centre was jointly organized by IIC and the Department of Chemistry of the college. Instructor Prof. Khalatkar explained the importance of every room in the incubation cell and explained all the equipment and procedures to the students.

  • 16/11/2022 The Santaji College signed the MOU with Maharashtra Information Technology Support Centre(MITSC) to form the Incubation Centre. The MITSC (Career Kata) organized the Webinar on Design Thinking and Digital Innovation. Mr. Pinaki Bhomick, Design Thinking and Innovation Coach delivered the speech on 16th Nov 2022 and enlightend the faculty and students

  • 15/10/2022 Institution’s Innovation Council and Learning Resource Centre of Santaji Mahavidyalaya organized the birth anniversary of the Formal President of India and Renown Scientist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam “ as National Innovation Day and Reading Inspiration Day” on 15th October 2022. On this occasion, the department organized the ‘Idea Generation’ activity with the help of Newspaper Reading.

  • 15/10/2022Institution’s Innovation Council and Learning Resource Centre of Santaji Mahavidyalaya organized the birth anniversary of the Formal President of India and Renown Scientist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam “ as National Innovation Day and Reading Inspiration Day” on 15th October 2022.

  • 15/10/2022 Institution’s Innovation Council and Learning Resource Centre of Santaji Mahavidyalaya organized ‘Inter-Collegiate Idea Competition on the occasion of “ National Innovation Day and Reading Inspiration Day”, which was celebrated on the birth anniversary of the Formal President of India and Renown Scientist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (15th October 2022). Received 28 innovative Ideas and the best ideas are selected for prizes.
